We finally made it to the Pacific Ocean on Wednesday, July 1. The climate difference after passing through the deserts of New Mexico and Arizona was amazing. When we got out to admire the gorgeous view, we were amazed at the cool air and immediately grabbed our jackets for the first time on this trip. We loved the drive through Big Sur as we headed towards Monterey. An unexpected treat was getting to see elephant seals on the beach.
